FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

LORD receives literally hundreds of e-mails each day and invariably a lot of the same questions are asked, so please read the Biography Page first, then check the News page next, and then this section to find out if your question has been answered already.

Q. What is this LORD thing? Isn't this just Dungeon? What happened to Dungeon anyway?

A. LORD originally started as a solo side project for (then) Dungeon frontman Lord Tim, consisting of songs that were too personal or inappropriate to contribute to Dungeon at the time. When Dungeon split in December 2005, Lord Tim, along with drummer Tim Yatras, rebuilt the LORD band as a legitimate touring act where every member contributes to the writing, much the same as Dungeon was structured. LORD now plays music along the same stylistic direction that Dungeon was heading in and will continue to play the classic Dungeon live anthems. In essence, LORD is Dungeon with new members and a new name.

Q. When is LORD playing live next? Will you tour to my city or country?

A. While LORD would love to tour to anywhere that the fans want to see them perform, sometimes it's just not financially possible or the touring/recording schedule may already be allocated. If LORD's costs are, at the very least, covered and there are written contracts and guarantees in conjunction with a well-run organisation, LORD would be interested in discussing touring options with you. Please contact LORD's management company, Centaurus Artist Management for all live bookings. For all upcoming show information, please check the NEWS/GIGS section. As soon as a show is confirmed it will be posted there. (Any unconfirmed shows will not be included and should be taken as idle rumours until they are).

Q. What albums has LORD released?

A. LORD released 'A Personal Journey' in 2003 as a solo side project of Lord Tim's whist he was still focussing on Dungeon. In 2005, this album was re-released as a Special Edition that had a new mix and a bonus track added. The second LORD album, 'Ascendence' was released in August 2007 in Australia and Japan. There was also an unoffically released album called 'Live At The Metro' was was available as a limited edition eBay pack. There are plans to offer this album as a digital-only release in the future.

Q. Where can I get LORD albums?

A. In Australia and New Zealand, LORD's albums are released and distributed through Modern Invasion and should be available through the usual metal retailers such as Utopia, Red Eye Records, Skinny's, Post-Mortem Records, Metal Mayhem, JB HiFi, etc. If they don't have it in stock, please ask them to order it in. In Japan, 'Ascendence' is released through Soundholic Records. There is no direct retail distribution for the rest of the world as yet, but you may find LORD albums on Amazon.com and other online stores. You can also buy LORD (and related projects) albums at the LORD Online Store.

Q. What LORD merchandise is available?

A. There is a range of embroidered patches, t-shirts, beanies and other merchandise available at the LORD Online Store, as well as at LORD live shows.

Q. I have a 'zine and I would like to interview or review LORD. How do I go about this?

A. For promotional CDs for review in Australia/NZ, please contact: Modern Invasion. For all other promo requests, interview requests or general information about LORD, contact Centaurus Artist Management.

Q. Can LORD link to my site? I have linked to the LORD site.

A. First of all, the band thanks you very much for your support! While LORD would love to add everyone who links to them, it's sadly not possible in most cases. LORD would like to offer their sincere apologies for that and our sincere thanks to anyone who has added LORD to their site.

Q. Can LORD sign my CD?

A. Any members of LORD would be more than happy to sign your CD for you! Please ask a band member if you see them at a show.

Q. I have mailed LORD and haven't gotten a reply? What's going on?

A. As was mentioned at the top of the page, LORD receives literally hundreds of mails each day. LORD's members are incredibly busy with the band, even without the e-mail side of things so it takes a little while to reply to everyone. LORD does their absolute best to get back to everyone, but on the odd occasion, mails do slip through. If you don't hear back after a very lengthy period of time, and LORD is not on tour or something like that, please e-mail again. Please ensure your mail is sent to the correct department to receive a reply.

Q. Where can I find LORD tablature?

A. There is currently no official LORD tabs created by the band and there is no plans to do so. There may possibly be tabs that fans have created. If you have tabbed a LORD song and you think it's pretty accurate, CONTACT LORD and it may be featured on the site!

Q. Why is Lord Tim called 'Lord Tim'?

A. LT says: "Man, how many times have I been asked this?! OK, the final, definitive answer is that I used to work at a roller disco when I was a teenager living in Broken Hill (yeah, yeah, joke all you like!). They gave us shirts which had our names on them and what we did. Mine said 'Tim - DJ' which I found extremely boring, so for a joke I had it changed to 'Lord Tim - Ruler Of All Mortals And Lesser Beings... and part-time DJ'. I eventually moved to Sydney and had business cards printed up for my guitar school that said 'Lord Tim - Ruler (etc. etc.)... and part-time Guitar Teacher', continuing the joke. I ended up doing some session work for a band who were chasing a record deal, BMG got their album and heard my playing. They asked who did the guitar and the band handed them my 'Lord Tim' business card. The were 'intrigued' (read: thought I was a wanker!) but wanted to hear more of my stuff. To cut an already long story short, they liked it and signed me up as 'Lord Tim' and I've used it ever since! It's not meant to be egotistical, religious, or whatever - it's a bit of a piss-take if anything! So there you have it! :)"

Q. Why is LORD always written in upper case letters?

A. Much like you'll find bands like WASP and KISS commonly write their names like that, LORD does it because they think it looks cool. Profound answer, hey? ;)

Q. Is there any other LORD information on the internet?

A. Yes, there is more information at the official LORD MySpace page.

Q. My question isn't answered here. How do I ask it?

A. Please feel free to get in touch on the CONTACT page. LORD will endeavour to get back to you ASAP.
